Overview

The aim of the programme is to enhance leadership capabilities of delegates in the areas of Business Strategy, Innovation and Business Management. The programme will comprise of 5 days of teaching covering the key areas below:

  • Day 1 Leadership Skills
  • Day 2 Advanced Coaching and Mentoring for Leaders
  • Day 3 Mindfulness and Managing Through Change
  • Day 4 Using Creativity and Innovation in Business
  • Day 5 Analytical Strategy and Creative Strategy

Course Content

Day 1 Leadership Skills
Objectives: The day will be a blend of presentations relating to core leadership theory and interactive sessions that are designed to allow delegates to explore and apply theory into their personal and organisational context.
 
Aims: The module aims to provide delegates with -knowledge of relevant leadership theory -tools to analyse and apply leadership theory Learning Outcomes: By the end of this module delegates will -have developed knowledge and awareness of core leadership theory -demonstrate their ability to explore, evaluate and critique leadership theory in the framework of their personal and organisational context.
 
Learning Outcomes: By the end of this module delegates will -have developed knowledge and awareness of core leadership theory -demonstrate their ability to explore, evaluate and critique leadership theory in the framework of their personal and organisational context.
 
 
Day 2 Advanced Coaching and Mentoring for Leaders
Objectives: The day will be a blend of presentations and interactive sessions designed to allow delegates to explore advanced coaching and mentoring theory and further develop practical coaching skills in both the specific context of collaborative working, team dynamics and the broader organisational context
 
Aims: The module aims to provide delegates with -knowledge of advanced coaching and mentoring skills -awareness of the role coaching and mentoring approaches can have in enhancing team dynamics & delivering successful collaborations, and -practical coaching tools and techniques and experience of using the tools and techniques in practice
 
Learning Outcomes: By the end of this module delegates will -have developed knowledge and awareness of core leadership theory -demonstrate their ability to explore, evaluate and critique leadership theory in the framework of their personal and organisational context.
 
 
Day 3 Mindfulness and Managing Through Change
Objectives: Mindfulness is the next "big thing”, but what is it all about and how can it help deliver improved business performance and enhanced career development? This one-day workshop will show you how. This workshop is highly engaging and practically focussed. Together we explore the contemporary theory, research and practice of mindfulness and understand how things can improve by implementing some simple but effective techniques.
 
Aims: To give delegates a range of tools to support their management of self and others in pressure situations
 
Learning Outcomes: Delegates will learn how to -Practice mindfulness -Understand the factors that impact on their personal stress, including people hooks, their personal stress ‘iceberg’ -Understand the impact of relationship management and the links to dysfunctional workplace attitudes and behaviours -Use simple but effective techniques to remain calm and focused -Remain productive and in ‘the flow’
 
 
Day 4 Using Creativity and Innovation in Business
Objectives: The day will combine presentation of Creativity and Innovation techniques with interactive, hands-on application of those techniques in a context that is directly relevant to the business.
 
Aims: The module aims are to provide participants with -Knowledge of relevant, contemporary techniques from the field of Creativity and Innovation; and -Tools to apply the techniques in their own roles and experience of using those tools and techniques in practice to generate business benefits.
 
Learning Outcomes: By the end of this module, participants will -Have developed their knowledge and understanding of the theory of thinking more creatively and innovatively -Have developed awareness of their own innovation style preferences -Be able to demonstrate that they are able to use creativity and innovation techniques to win new work and build client relationships.
 
 
Day 5 Analytical Strategy and Creative Strategy
Objectives: The day will combine presentation of Creative Strategy theory with interactive, hands-on application of that theory in a context that is directly relevant to the business
 
Aims: The module aims are to provide participants with -Knowledge of relevant, contemporary theory from the field of creative strategy; and -Tools to apply the theory in their own roles and experience of using those tools and techniques in practice.
 
Learning Outcomes: By the end of this module, participants will -Have developed their knowledge and understanding of the theory of creative strategy -Be able to demonstrate that they are able to identify opportunities and apply creative strategy theory commercially in their own roles and -Understand the bigger picture for the business and the potential for improved interconnectedness across teams from a creative strategy perspective.
